The Satellite Browser is a proof-of-concept application developed by Optimal Satcom to demonstrate how hundreds of satellites and thousands of satellite coverage patterns stored in the database can be rapidly searched to quickly identify possible solutions. It allows the user to specify certain basic parameters such as the location of the transmit and receive site, and then searches the database to determine the list of possible satellites and beams that can provide the requested connectivity. The user can also specify basic link parameters and the Satellite Browser runs link budgets for all feasible solutions, determining the terminal and satellite power required. Results are displayed in the form of ACP plots and Excel reports. |
